Prometheus SF Meetup @ Pinterest: September 20, San Francisco, California
The San Francisco Prometheus meetup is holding its first gathering on September 20 at 6:30 p.m. PT. Joe Bowers (@joeatwork), senior software engineer at CoreOS, will speak about using Prometheus to monitor Kubernetes.

Enterprise Container Deployment Webinar @ BrightTALK: September 22
Containers are at the core of the modern data center - attend this webinar on September 22 to learn the basics of enterprise container deployment from Jake Moshenko, Quay product manager at CoreOS and Jay Lyman, research manager at 451 research. The webinar begins at 2:00 p.m. ET.

Boston Kubernetes meetup: September 26, Boston, Massachusetts

Kubernetes Training Session @ MicroTek NY: September 27, New York City
On September 27 and 28, we’re holding a two-day Kubernetes training session. Join us for a comprehensive class on the fundamentals of containers and Kubernetes, and a mix of lectures and labs on installing, deploying and managing a Kubernetes cluster. Space is limited, so buy your ticket today.

Structure Security @ Golden Gate Club: September 27-28, San Francisco
Alex Polvi (@polvi), CEO and co-founder of CoreOS, and Matthew Garrett (@mjg59), principal security developer at CoreOS, will head to the Golden Gate Club for the Structure Security summit.

  • On Wednesday at 4:10 p.m. PT, Alex will speak on a panel about container security. Come hear him explain how it works and why it’s important.
  • At the conference, Matthew will moderate a panel representing the Trusted Computing Group. More details to follow.

ContainerizeThis is rounding out our U.S. events for September. Colin Hom will introduce cluster federation with Kubernetes, which allows users to deploy, manage, and schedule their global Kubernetes clusters regionally. Josh Wood (@joshixisjosh9), DocOps at CoreOS, will also lead a workshop on building and running containers with rkt.

Ready for Container Camp London? Join Jon Boulle (@baronboulle), head of containers and Berlin site lead at CoreOS, at 1:35 p.m. BST. His talk will introduce the rkt container runtime engine, and describe how CoreOS is integrating it into Kubernetes.

systemd.conf @ betahaus Berlin: September 28 - October 1, Berlin, Germany
systemd.conf is coming! Come see Luca Bruno discuss the intersection of rkt and systemd.

  • On Thursday, September 29 at 1:20 p.m. CEST, he’ll take the stage with Alban Crequy to present how rkt interfaces with systemd to create a secure container runtime.
  • On Friday, September 30 at 5:40 p.m. CEST, he’ll discuss how bindings allow many projects to interoperate with systemd despite being written in different languages.
