Your guide to CoreOS Fest 2017

CoreOS Fest is coming up next week! We look forward to welcoming you to the Kubernetes and distributed systems community event on Wednesday, May 31 and Thursday, June 1. We’ll see how the container ecosystem has developed and what new work is being done in the world of distributed systems. We’re anticipating insightful conversations on how to build, run, and secure your infrastructure with open source projects like Container Linux, etcd, Kubernetes, and more!

Registration opens at 7:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 31 and Thursday, June 1 on the ground floor, where you’ll receive your badge and conference materials.

Continental breakfast, coffee breaks and lunch are included for all attendees. Vegetarian and vegan options are available.

  • Tuesday, May 30, 1:00-5:00 p.m.: Pre-CoreOS Fest Workshop: Introduction to Kubernetes
    Join Ryan Jarvinen on Tuesday for an introductory Kubernetes workshop where you'll gain a basic understanding of distributed systems and will deploy, scale, and automate a container-based environment using Kubernetes, the leading choice for container orchestration.
  • Tuesday, May 30, 6:30-8:30 p.m.: San Francisco CoreOS meetup: Kubernetes & CoreOS Fest
    On day 0 of the conference, we’re holding a meetup at the Google Launchpad offices in San Francisco. Join us for a sneak peek of the event with a variety of talks.
  • Wednesday, May 31, 5:00-7:00 p.m.: CoreOS Fest Happy Hour sponsored by: Tigera, Diamanti & Wavefront
    We’re capping day 1 with a happy hour at the Pier 23 Cafe, a short walk from the Pier 27 venue. Thanks to Tigera, Diamanti and Wavefront for sponsoring what promises to be an evening of fun.
  • Thursday, June 1, 6:30-11:30 p.m.: CoreOS Fest: Helm Chart Hack Night
    Put everything you learn at the conference to good use at the Helm Chart hack night, hosted by Microsoft.

Parking & Transportation

Parking at public lots in San Francisco is at a premium and expensive. If you’re not from the Bay Area, we suggest staying at a hotel within walking distance. Bay Area residents should consider taking a taxi/rideshare, or by taking the bus or BART.
