Scaling Tectonic clusters on AWS
Edit the AWS Auto Scaling Group (ASG) to change the size of Tectonic clusters.
The following example scales a cluster from two nodes to three.
- Open a browser and go to AWS EC2.
- From the left nav, select Auto Scaling Groups.
- Check the box to the left of your Tectonic cluster. From the drop down menu Actions, select Edit.
- Change the three fields Desired, Min, and Max from 2 to 3. This is the number of worker nodes in your cluster. For more nodes, pick a higher number.
During the next ASG health check, the cluster will scale to the specified size. The default health check occurs every 10 minutes.
